Day 1: Leave Kampala for Kibale Forest National Park

Day 1 of your Uganda gorilla & chimpanzee tour will involve you rising up early to have a morning hefty cup of tea or coffee. After, meet the tour leader who then will give you briefing on what you should expect on this primate safari. Later, travel Kampala capital city for Kibale Forest National Park in Northwestern Uganda, about 4-5 hours’ road trip.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale and guided nature walk in Bigodi Wetland

Have breakfast early in the morning and later, leave the lodge for briefing on chimpanzee tracking safety measures. At 8:00a.m, expect to hit the jungles to kick start a trek to view chimpanzees and for you to learn more about their daily behaviors. Over 98 percent of chimpanzee DNA is same as that of humans and this makes them the closest relatives to humans in the wild.

Day 3: Transfer from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your road trip will cover between 2 and 3 hours via Fort Portal Town. Embark on a morning game drive via Kasenyi Plains and this lets you spot wildlife species like African bush elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, Uganda Kobs, warthogs, birds to mention but a few. At 2:00pm, set off for an afternoon launch trip along the Kazinga Channel. Day 5: Leave Queen for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and later, meet your tour leader ready to drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Southwestern Uganda. This is 3-4 hours’ drive journey however, at Ishasha Sector, expect to sight the tree climbing lions plus other wildlife species like warthogs, elephants, buffaloes and birds.

After breakfast, leave the lodge with some packed energy giving snacks and water. Gather at Buhoma area, Rushaga, Ruhija or Nkuringo region for briefing on gorilla tracking safety measures. The park official will allocate to you a gorilla group and at 8:00am, expect to start a search for these dramatic primates in the wild. The entire adventure can last you about 2 to 6 hours and it includes 1 hour of magical hour.
