Queen Elizabeth National Park is found in Kasese district, Western Uganda and features as the second largest national park after Murchison Falls National Park. It occupies an area of about 1978sq.kms and inhabits four of the big five African game-leopards, lions plus the tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes as well as warthogs, antelopes, over 620 bird species, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys and many more.
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is run by Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust. It is 23kms away from Entebbe and sits in 100 acres. Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary inhabits orphaned chimpanzees as well as several unique water birds, plant and tree species. Day 1: Transfer to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary

After breakfast, meet your driver-guide for a briefing on what your 3 days Queen Elizabeth and Ngamba Island tour. Later, connect to Lake Victoria to catch up with a boat ride to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. At Ngamba Island, you will come across several bird species including among others the African open billed storks, Egyptian goose, kingfishers, yellow-billed dark, black-headed weavers.
While at Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, you will witness chimpanzees being fed by the caretakers up to around 11:00 am or be part of 2:00 pm chimpanzee feeding session by chimpanzee caregiver. The caregiver will also explain to you how they manage to keep chimpanzee foodstuff healthy. In case you choose the morning session, you will catch up with 11:45 am return boat ride and afternoon one at 4:00 pm. Return to Kampala to spend the rest of your evening, dine and spend a night.

Day 2: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will be served with a cup of tea or coffee and later, start your 6-hour journey from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Masaka-Mbarara-Ishaka-Bushenyi route. On the way, you will make a stopover at Uganda Equator crossing then proceed to Igongo Cultural Village for lunch. Later, connect to a safari lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park to relax.
At 2:00 pm, you will catch up with the afternoon launch or boat cruise on Kazinga Channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George. On a boat cruise, you will come across water birds such as kingfishers, shoebill stork, pelicans, skimmers, bee-eaters, fish eagles; hippos, crocodiles as well as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes as they roam along the banks. Retreat from the boat trip and spend an hour exploring Lake Katwe Tourism Center (optional) where you will come across flamingos and also explore the salt mining site.

Day 3: Game drive and return to Kampala

Wake up early in the morning to have breakfast and later, set off for morning game drive via Kasenyi Plains. This is a 3-4-hour wildlife safari experience and you will come across buffaloes, elephants, leopards, hyenas, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs, birds to mention but a few. Retreat from your exciting wildlife tour to check out of the lodge. Your driver will drive you back to Kampala and along the way, you will have lunch in Mbarara. Another stop will be made at the Equator for photography, relaxation than at Mpambire drum makers to learn how drums are made then connect to Kampala.
