3 days gorilla habituation experience lets you spend more time with mountain gorillas in the wild. Unlike the usual gorilla trekking, mountain gorilla habituation experience is only conducted in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and it involves exploring the semi habituated gorilla family the whole day and you have 4 hours with these unique primate species. This experience involves exploring every detail about mountain gorillas, their behaviors, body gestures, feeding, mating until they make their nests to retire for the night. Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Pick up by driver guide from Maranatha Tours and Travel after breakfast at your hotel or place of residence. He will brief you on what your 3 days gorilla habituation experience is all about and after, start your road trip from Kampala via Masaka-Mbarara-Kabale route. You will make a stopover at Uganda Equator crossing for photo taking and relaxation, then connect to Igongo Cultural Center or Agip Hotel to have lunch. After lunch, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to check-in at the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience

Wake up early in the morning to have breakfast and after, gather at Rushaga area for a briefing on guidelines to be observed while on gorilla habituation experience. Mountain gorilla habituation experience involves following the semi habituated gorillas in order to make them used to human presence. Currently, habituation experience is conducted in the Kutu gorilla group and a maximum of 4 hours is given to you to learn their behaviors, body gestures, feeding habits, and other traits. You will retreat from your thrilling primate adventure to relax, dine and spend a night at your respective lodge.

Day 3: Return to Kampala

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala. You will have lunch in Agip Hotel in Mbarara and photography at Uganda Equator crossing. If time allows, visit Mpambire drum makers to explore how the locals make drums then you drive to a hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Note, you can also do the same tour starting from Kigali which is 4 hours’ drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
