Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Meet driver guide from Maranatha Tours and Travel at Kigali International Airport who will warmly welcome you into the land of a thousand hills and also give you highlight on what your 3 days Nyungwe safari includes. You are expected to arrive at Kigali Airport early since your journey will cover about 6 hours to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Despite the long hours, along the way, you will make a stopover at the Ethnographic museum where Rwanda’s unique historic and cultural artifacts. Lunch will be served to you when you are done exploring the museum and later, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park while enjoying views over the scenic hills.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Canopy walk in Nyungwe National Park
Wake up to enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, connect at Uwinka Reception for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking dos and don’ts. At 8:00 am, you will begin your chimpanzee trek along Uwinka trail and this may last you about 2-4 hours including an hour of magical encounter with chimpanzees, learning how they socialize, feeding habits, mating, grooming among others. On a trek to see chimpanzees, you will also come across other species of primates including L’Hoest monkeys, red colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys; butterflies, birds and several flowering plants. Retreat from your fun-filled chimpanzee tracking experience to have lunch.
You will spend your afternoon on a canopy walk which takes you about 2 hours. Nyungwe Forest National Park features canopy walk-the first of its kind in East Africa and on the canopy walk, you will spot out a variety of primates, birds and breathtaking views of the montane forest.
