Day 1: Leave Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park
Today, your trip begins with a morning breakfast and later, you will meet your safari leader for transfer from your hotel in Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park in Northwestern Uganda. Your journey covers about 5-6 hours and you drive via towns like Luweero, Masindi and then you connect to the park via Kichumbanyobo gate. However, a stopover shall be made at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking and lunch in a hotel in Masindi Town. Get to the park early and pay a visit to the top of Murchison Falls before checking in at your safari lodge.

Day 2: Game drive and launch trip in Murchison Falls
Wake up early in the morning to have breakfast and after, begin your Uganda safaris in Murchison Falls National Park with a game drive. This allows you see the African bush elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, birds, warthogs, hippos, antelopes and a lot more. It is 2-3 hours’ drive game viewing experience in a 4×4 safari vehicle with pop up. Later, lunch shall be served to you when you return from the game drive.
At 2:00pm, a boat cruise towards Murchison Falls will reward you with lots of amazing sights of basking crocodiles on river banks, hippos, water birds, riverine vegetation and many more. This will cover about 2-3 hours and once you get to the bottom of the falls, you can take a hike to the top of the falls and return by car or get back on a boat after photography at the base of the falls. The Murchison Falls can be witnessed squeezing itself into a narrow gorge of about 8 meters before plunging about 43 meters and this makes it one of the most powerful waterfalls on earth.

This is for you to learn about guidelines for chimpanzee tracking rules and regulations. A chimpanzee trek in this park rewards trekkers not only with magical encounter with chimpanzees but also other primates including grey cheeked mangabeys, red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys as well as birds. Walk back to the lodge to have lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, take a walk or drive to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for guided nature walks. A guided nature walk here allows you sight primates such as red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, baboons, butterflies as well as birds and a lot more.
